I had this idea to take a picture in a mirror, you know when it does that infinity thing, and then take a picture of the picture and a picture of the picture of the picture...but I couldn't execute the images the way I had imagined them so I gave up. I'm going to try again with a different camera. It will be epic.

I think Jeff Bridges is a great actor. There's some buzz around his music right now but my favorite way Jeff puts himself out there is his photographs (of course). His website is an insane cluster of links and art projects but my favorites are the photo books he makes while filming his movies. He uses some wild panoramic camera and his images give you quite the sense of what it's like movie making. I would love to see one of his actual books in print!

California, if I lived in you, I would go to Photobooth + and have myself tin typed. Love that someone is doing it. Don't love that it isn't me! This is one of those Jealous Curator moments!

MALLOWS

I still feel the excitement of a little girl hoping for a window seat when I am gearing up to travel on an airplane. I don't understand the folks who close the window or don't even peek out. I mean, how often are in IN THE SKY?! Floating amongst clouds. Your world looking so little. 

These next few weeks will be busy ones. Busy with wedding work, fun trips, soaking up all the Summer I can and figuring out how to best archive my digital files.

My friend Tiffany's pups- Charlee and Lula. They are so cute and animated it was hard to believe they weren't cartoons. It was also hard not to squeeze them to death.

DAY DREAMIN'

I spent the past two days day dreaming about living in a loft where my husband has space for his music and I have floor to ceiling windows for naturally lit photography.

Christopher, my Mom, and I are about to take a little weekend trip to Ann Arbor and visit Christopher's Dad and Step-Mother in Hamtramck Michigan. Miniature road trip. Weekend Warriors.

EAT ME

I have come upon that stage in my life where I can no longer just eat what I want without feeling the effects of it on my body. I think I have entered this stage a year ago but have been in a certain kind of denial about it. As my body keeps "changing" in ways that completely freak me out I think I am going to have to make positive changes to my eating habits and the very dreaded....exercise...dun dun dun!

I think I'll start walking and then bike riding. Very rudimentary I know but even walking for 30 minutes  straight will surely put my body into shock. It's going to be so confused. Where's the computer? Where's the Coca-Cola? Why are we walking when we can take the bus?

Yeahhhhhh. Thirty....here I come!

BUNNIES FOR BUNNIES

It's no secret that I love bunnies. A few months ago I contributed a few photos of our rabbits to a book called Bunnies for Bunnies. All proceeds from this compilation of really cute bunny photographs go to my favorite rabbit information website - The House Rabbit Society.

THIRTY IS NEAR

Why is it that I want for things the most when I have the least amount of spending money?! It is truly always this way. I'll have a job where I get a good bit of spending money and I can't fathom what to do with it. Then the times where the wallet is looking rather sad I can only think of all the things I want but can't have at the moment. My 30th birthday is quickly approaching. Perhaps it's time to make a wish list? I think so!

These shoes are so cute! I have to admit I'm kind of a sucker for cute and comfy shoes!

I have wanted a Bando heart since they came out! So cute. I wouldn't mind having one of these poofs either.

Whoever thought up this little guy that can basically make any roomy purse you have into a camera bag is a genius! I have plenty a roomy purse!

While we're dreaming, can I please have this sequined shirt. I promise I'll wear it. I really really will!

And what is a wish list without some beautiful film? Please and thank you!

I know November is still so far away but I can't help to already feel like I'm 30 just because I'm anticipating it so much. I'm a mixed bag of excited and sad to leave my 20's behind. I still feel 19 at heart!

Any good advice on dealing with the big 3-0?

Hey y'all my camera collection made it to the Flickr Blog! No big deal. This picture is a few years old and some of the cameras pictured have moved on to better homes and in turn I have added a few more goodies to the collection. Maybe I'll retake this picture soon!

JULY // GONE

July. Gone already. Summer months are my absolute favorite. I love the sun kissing my shoulders, seeing everyone on picnics, kite flying and swimming. The carefreeness of Summer is much missed during the miserable cold months ahead. I absolutely dread Winter in Chicago. I shouldn't start fretting just yet, it's still wonderfully summery out here and I will be embarking on a little trip to Florida Thursday! Beaches, here I come!

July brought me:

- the funnest time I've had at the festival I work for yet!
- Polaroid Week on Flickr! A feast for the eyes.
- the passing of our cute bunny, Zooey.
- a really fun outing with Lindsay and Emily.
- a print exchange! I am so excited to see the results of that.
- the realization that the stash of Polaroid film I have is on it's way out. It's time to quit hoarding and start shooting it before it's all just gone bad.
- a wonderful exchange in the post between Juli and I!
- some really fun posts on Words To Shoot By (including the latest that just came out today- Space!)
- a fun movie night out with my friend Linn. The kind that makes you glad for girlfriends...and Ryan Gosling.
- a visit from the least high maintenance of visitors, Ms. Daniela...which resulted in jaunts around the city, a much needed beach day and a date with Blonde Redhead!

I'm sure there is much I'm forgetting. I love you Summer. Please don't go!

August holds shooting some fun weddings, the aforementioned trip to Florida (a mix of business and fun), a revamping of my website and hopefully a new blog project. What's August shaping up like for you?!
