Frank and Marie came to Chicago from Florida for a vacation as they had done several times before, except this trip would be decidedly different. This time around Frank would propose marriage to Marie right before the Holidays! He had already scheduled an engagement session with me at the Lincoln Park Zoo, where he had planned to propose to Marie- on the bridge that overlooks the skyline. Soooo romantic, right?! The day of our shoot was one of those quintessential chilly December-in-Chicago days and I was so impressed with how well they handled the cold while we walked around the zoo during our shoot. Frank and Marie are that couple whose affection for each other is totally apparent and you can't help but smile at how totally adorable they are together. It was so fun exploring the zoo together, stopping for photos along the way. Marie works for a milk company back in Florida so it was only fitting that we would end our shoot out in front of the Dairy Barn! Best of luck planning your wedding this year guys!

Doesn't looking at these early Fall pictures just warm you right up? I love how the sunset looks during Fall and could really go for some of those glowing tones right now that we're in the dead of Winter! I was so excited when Ashley reached out to me to take photos of her baby Jackson, who was turning one. I took some photos of this little fella when he was just 6 months old and it was so neat to see how much he'd grown in just a few months. Everything from his cute curls bouncing on his head to his adorable infectious laugh and smile made the day so much fun. We met up at Humboldt Park around sunset and took a stroll around, played in the leaves, looked at passing by pups, and even made a new friend at the end of our shoot! Oh also, let's not forget those cheeks! Amiright?!?
